About us
The Head of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Business Planning process within the organization. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between business goals, financial targets, and operational execution. This role will work closely with senior level stakeholders and be a member of the Strategy, IBP & Digital Transformation leadership team.
About the role
Strategic Leadership
Develop and champion the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Integrated Business Planning process, aligning it with the Dyson overall business objectives and long-term growth plans
Orchestrate the IBP meetings, ensuring inputs and outputs are aligned from one meeting to another
Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on matters related to demand planning, supply chain optimization, inventory management, and financial planning to enable proactive decision-making
Identify gaps in business delivery, create action plans to mitigate gaps, work with stakeholders to complement the global plan to deliver on Dyson’s business strategy
Facilitate the feedback loop of actions and decisions out of the Executive IBP meeting towards the stakeholders
Process Development and Implementation
Design, implement, and enhance the IBP process to enable effective decision-making and alignment across all functions of the organisation
Establish key performance metrics, benchmarks, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in the IBP process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into the IBP process, ensuring accuracy and reliability of forecasts and plans
Own the IBP Calendar
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Foster strong partnerships and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment of plans and resources
Facilitate regular IBP meetings and forums to review performance, resolve issues, and make decisions that support business objectives
Act as a liaison between different functional areas to drive consensus on key assumptions, risks, and opportunities impacting the business
Performance Management and Risk Mitigation
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand, supply, inventory, and financial targets to identify risks and opportunities
Develop scenario analyses and contingency plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities in the marketplace
Lead insight generation related to portfolio management, demand forecasts and supply analyses, resource utilisation, considering market trends, customer insights, and internal capabilities
Talent Development and Team Management
Build and develop a high-performing IBP team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to enhance capabilities and drive results
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the IBP team and across the organisation
About you
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10 years of proven experience in leading Integrated Business Planning or Sales & Operations Planning processes within a complex, global organization.
Experience in leading a transformation in planning, an advantage
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to generate insights through data, translate insights into actionable plans and recommendations
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of driving cross-functional collaboration and delivering business results in a dynamic environment
Proficiency in advanced planning tools and systems, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms
Knowledge of industry best practices in demand planning, supply chain management, and financial forecasting
Experience in leading diverse and global teams
