About the Role:

The Senior Category Manager will oversee the Floorcare category within the Benelux region. Collaborating with the Benelux Head of Category, they will drive strategies aimed at achieving exceptional category performance in terms of profitability and brand reputation, fostering both short and long-term growth.

This role entails close collaboration with a network of marketing professionals across Dyson's global and local functions to shape category plans tailored for success in the Benelux market. They will contribute to defining and implementing the commercial strategy for their category within the broader context of the Benelux growth strategy and Dyson's global category aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the category.
  • Create and implement the category plan for Floor in Benelux.
  • Manage media plans and communication messaging across all touch points and audiences, while assessing the effectiveness of communications activities to drive business benefits.
  • Collaborate with Mindshare to align on business priorities and devise optimal media strategies supporting set business goals.
  • Analyze customer data, audience segmentation, and shopper insights in collaboration with the Business Intelligence Analyst to identify new opportunities within the category.
  • Advocate for the category in the market, continuously highlighting its value and commercial potential for both the market and the broader Dyson business.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to maximize the category/products' impact on consumers and retailers.
  • Proactively manage category Brand Building Investment.
  • Maximize sales potential and profitability of existing products in collaboration with the Sales function.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the territory's customer opportunities and analyze product and campaign performance for growth strategy implications.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with the Business Intelligence Analyst.
  • Drive joint business plans with trade marketing to align retail marketing activations with the overall brand strategy.
  • Develop business plans and marketing strategies for all New Product Developments (NPD) in the category.
  • Collaborate with Group Category teams and other key functions to ensure alignment with global plans.
  • Operate as a member of the virtual global Dyson category and commercial teams alongside the Benelux Head of Marketing.
  • Lead and develop direct reports, providing guidance and feedback for their personal and professional growth.

About you:

  • 4-6 years in product or brand management, overseeing marketing and communications simultaneously.
  • Track record of successfully launching new products/categories and collaborating across teams and with media agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of both traditional and digital media.
  • Proficient in managing multiple complex projects.
  • Ability to strategize and execute initiatives effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills for marketing performance evaluation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and take ownership of results.
  • Articulate communicator, capable of conveying plans effectively.
  • Confident and influential, ready to tackle challenges and achieve goals.
  • Innovative thinker, willing to challenge the norm and take calculated risks.

New employees to Dyson in the Netherlands commence employment on a 12-month, fixed-term basis.
